have drills, DROP,COVER,HOLD, a secret shelter to go to

homeless, injured e.g 14,500, deaths e.g 8,000

people ensured others were in a safe place, chemical toilets were provided, areas were zoned depending on damage done, international aid provided e.g money
long term responses
paid for building claims, provided temporary houses, water and sewage restored, roads and houses were cleared and started to be rebuilt
