ECG Bima lecture Flashcards

1
Q

Key facts:
-PR intervals should be less than 0.2 seconds
-QRS less tan 0.12 seconds
-Normal QT interval is less than 0.4 seconds
-ECG placings: Ride Your Green Bike (red wire on right arm, yellow wire on left arm, green wire on your left leg and black wire on right leg-earth wire)
-Note: always looking at heart from the positive electrode ie eye would be here
-Normal axis is -30 to 90 degrees
-Inferior leads-RCA
-Lateral leads-left circumflex
-Anterior leads-left anterior descending
The two above are the 2 branches of the left coronary artery
-Leads 1 and 3 look at the qrs complexes (leaving=Left axis deviation, reaching=right axis deviation)
-STEMI-give aspirin and clopidogrel and call cath lab and arrange for stent immediately

A

Tented T waves in all/most leads -hyperkalaemia (clue was that he missed his dialysis session)
Box shows order of events that happen
Normal potassium 3.5-5.5

Q

Pericarditis-PR depression (think as it has a P and an R)

A

BBB-V1, left W, right M
V6, left M, right W

1st degree is prolonged PR
2nd mobitz 1 is PR gets longer then drops
mobitz 2 is regular long PR then get sudden dropped beat
3rd degree is p waves and qrs not linked
