Q

What are the interactions between the levels of biological communities?

A

Organisms, population, biological community, ecosystem, biome, and biosphere. they can be more complex based on the number of interactions organisms are having

Q

How does energy flow through an ecosystem?

A

It starts with producers who get consumed by an organism one after another until they get to the top consumer, as it flows the nutrients decrease.

Q

What are food chains, food webs, and ecological pyramid models?

A

The food chain is very direct in one animal after another.
The food web is all interconnected with multiple animals being hunter and prey.
The food pyramid is just showing the categories/ levels of the three main consumers and one main producer.

Q

How do nutrients move through biotic and abiotic parts of an ecosystem?

A

From all living and non living things like plants, animals, bacteria, and even animal corpses.
Soil to worm, worm to bird, bird to snake, snake dies and nutrients go in the ground.

Q

What are the biochemical cycles of nutrients and how are they alike?

A

The Phosphorus cycle, the water cycle, the carbon and oxygen cycle and the nitrogen cycle. They all at one point travel through living things and they all help living things in one way or more. When it rains the water travels through the ground, like grass, trees, etc.
