Ecology
The study of relationships between living organisms and organisms and their environment.
Ecologist
Scientists who study ecology and study different ecosystems.
Ecosystem
Ecosystems are defined by ecologists and could be large or small, it is a particular area where a community its abiotic environment interact, and contains a living community and its non-living environment.
Abiotic
The non-living parts of an ecosystem.
Biotic
The living parts of an ecosystem.
Community
A group of different populations living and interacting together in a specific ecosystem.
Organism
This is one living individual.
Population
This is a group of organisms of the same species living in the same area at the same time.
Species
A group of living organisms who are able to interbreed and create fertile offspring.
Interbreed
Mixing different species and thus producing hybrids
Fertile
To be able to conceive young or produce seed.
Niche
The role which a species performs or the job of a living organism.
Habitat
The environment where a species usually lives.
