  • Arid system → recovers slowly
  • Lots of movable wind blown sand
  • Use a specific plant species to hold sand
  • Use biome thinking to figure out where it is currently growing and then work backwards to determine which climatic and soil associations there are and if we can successfully plant it in this area to restore the land and hold down sand
