What is electricity
The flow of electric charge
What does use electricity for
It is used to power electronic gadgets
What is an atom made up of
An atom is made of three distinct particles, electrons, protons and neutrons
What are valence electrons
The electrons on the outer orbit of the atom
What are free electrons
A negative electron which is the moving from atom to the next
What if we need in order to move charge
Charge carriers
What is Current
When a charge flows from negative to negative
What is conventional current
When charges flow from positive to positive
Explain how electricity is created
Electrons in atoms can act as our charge carriers because they carry a negative charge. To create electricity you need to free an electron from an atom to force it to move. Using enough electrostatic force on the valence electron (either by pushing It with another negative charge or by attracting it with a positive charge) we can eject the electron from orbit around the atom creating a free electron. The free electron is pulled and prodded until it finds a new electron to latch onto In so doing the negative charge of the electron ejects another glance electron from the atom. This continues on and on
