Electricity Flashcards
To Be Able To Define The Different Aspects Of Electricity (7 cards)
What is Current?
Current is the rate of flow of charge. Current is measured in Amps, A.
What is Charge?
Charge is a fundamental property of matter. Charge is measured in Coulombs, C.
What is Voltage (Potential Difference)?
Voltage (Potential Difference) is the energy carried per 1 Coulomb of Charge. Voltage is measured in Volts, V.
What is Resistance?
Resistance is the opposition to the flow of charge, measured in Ohms.
What is a Series Circuit?
A Series Circuit is a Circuit where the current only has one route it can flow through.
What is a Parallel Circuit?
A Parallel Circuit is a Circuit with multiple routes the current can flow through.
What is Ohm’s Law Equation?
Ohm’s Law Equation is Voltage = Current x Resistance.
