A

Draw a line going into the sotuh and out of the north. Draw 2 more lines at an angle going into the S and out of the N. Ovals on the sides towards the south.

What are the rules of field lines?

A

the more dense the field lines are, the stronger the magnetic field is in that area.

How to find the field lines of a magnet using a compass?

A

A compass has a tiny bar magnet. it will line up with the field lines of whatever magnetic field it is put in. It will point towards the south pole of a magnet.
Place the compass around the magnet and in whichever direction it faces, draw an arrow. eventually the game magnetic field lines will be created.

What is an induced magnet?

A

Only have a magnetic field temporarily. When a piece of magnetic material is put in the field of a permanent magnet. it will develop its own magnetic field. this means it’s an induced magnet. It will lose magnetsim when removed from the magnetic field of a permanent object.

How does static electricity work?

A

The rubbing of certain materials against one another can transfer negative charges, or electrons. For example, if you rub your shoe on the carpet, your body collects extra electrons. The electrons cling to your body until they can be released. As you reach and touch your furry friend, you get a shock.

How do electric fields and air interact?

A

Air cant conduct electricity. However, if the electric field is strong, ionization can occur. The air particles can lose electrons and becomes positive ions. Air can now conduct electricity., This is how sparks travel through objects.
