16
Q

Tx for hypercalcemia?

A

IV NS and furosemide (bisphosphonates and calcitonin for long term)

17
Q

Tx for hypokalemia?

A

Oral KCl (can be given IV if K t forget to add 1% lidocaine to bag cuz K burns!)

18
Q

Tx for hyperkalemia?

A

1) If severe and ECG changes present = IV Ca
2) To shift K into the intracellular compartment = glucose and insulin, NaHCO3
3) Remove K from body = kayexalate, HD, furosemide

19
Q

Tx for hypomagnesemia?

20
Q

Tx for hypermagnesemia?

A

IV Ca gluconate (for cardioprotection), saline and furosemide

21
Q

Tx for hypophosphatemia?

22
Q

Tx for hyperphosphatemia?

A

Antacids (aluminum hydroxide or carbonate)
