How many conditions are there and when are they set?

A

Four.
OVM 1: Set in transiting designated choke points within 12 nautical miles of land. When under attack or when the Mission Commander/ATTWO deems necessary.

OVM 2: Set during transits exceeding 6 hours in length, birth shifts extended anchorages, or when the MC/ATTWO deems necessary.

OVM 3: Will be set while operating in open waters, outside of 12 nautical miles from land, or when the threat of a small boat attack is deemed less likely by the Commander of the AOR.

OVM 4: Inport force protection watches will be set in accordance with the ship’s FP plan and current threat guidance.

A

Seward Continuum of Force.

SCOF 1: Roll CPED, Bridge to Bridge, 5 short blasts of ship whistle, hand and arm signals, LRAD, Spot light, LA-9P.

SCOF 2: Level 2 warning, LA-51/52’s/BA-26’s, TRACON.

SCOF 3: Level 3 warning, warning shots.

SCOF 4: Destructive/Disabling Fire.
