A network of glands throughout the body that make and secrete hormones

A
The body’s chemical messengers that travel through the blood stream and influence different processes

A
Controls the release hormones from all the other endocrine glands (located in the brain)

What are the functions of the endocrine system?

To regulate the physiological processes of the human body. Too much or too little can cause dysfunction
