Chock the wheels, secure all items in the cab, secure SCBA with seatbelts, turn the battery on, turn the ignition on, make sure there are no overhead obstructions, make sure there are no obstructions on the front bumper, have a spotter watch, remove bar from behind the drivers seat, make sure that the switch is in the raise position, make sure the pressure bleeder is closed using the notched end of the bar, place the bar in the hole, start pumping.

Yes, there is a handle on the bottom right corner of the pump panel that is labeled as such. The air actuator needs to be put into neutral, then the handle can be pulled, air actuator all the way down then the transmission will still need to be put in gear afterwords.
