Why hasn’t Leopold’s land ethic come to fruition?
Mostly because of economics and capitalism making the land a means to en end because the purpose of business is to make a profit
O’neill defense for objective value?
all objects should be respected if they are good and by good it means flourishing or thriving independent of humans
Rolston’s defense for objective value?
anything that can be valued is valuable, so something that produces a value can be valued
Why does Stone supports pluralism?
it shows multiple ways an issue can be resolved not just black and white scenario when using different frameworks, and
Why does Callicot argue against pluralism?
can tend to be more egocentric because the inconsistency can led to promiscuity and also how do you know what framework to use in two situations.
