Define the word environment
Environment: The surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives; the natural world.
Define the word pollution
Something that contaminates the environment and has a harmful effect.
Define stewardship
looking after something so that it can be passed on to the next generation.
Define dominion (In a Christian POV)
control over or responsibility for the earth
Define creation (In a Christian POV)
the belief that the Earth was deliberately created by God.
What are a few Bible teachings that supports stewardship?
• God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:28)
• God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. (Genesis 1:31)
• The Lord God took the man [Adam] and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it. (Genesis 2:15)
What are Christian views on eating animals?
Agree: God created animals for them and gave them dominion over the world therefore they should eat animals.
Disagree: Animals were created by god so we should value them. Wronging animals is wrongingGod.
Define vegetarian
a person that does not eat meat or fish
Define vegan
A person that does not use any animal products. (i.e. does not eat, meat, fish, dairy or eggs, and does not wear clothes that come from animal products .g. those made from leather or wool).
Define animal rights
The belief,the animals have the right to live in freedom from human exploration and abuse.
