Prohibited Maneuvers
- Abrupt control movement
- Unusual G loading
- Bank angle greater than 60* (normal category)
- Bank angle greater than 35* (restricted category)
- Pitch attitude more than 30* above or below the horizon

Abnormal Engine Start
- CONDITION Lever - FUEL CUTOFF (Note ITT Decrease)
- ENGINE START Switch - OFF
In the event of a hot or a hung start - ENGINE START Switch - STARTER ONLY (for the remainder of the 40 seconds)
Emergency Shutdown on Deck
- Aircraft - Stop
- Parking Brake - Set
- CONDITION lever(s) - FUEL CUTOFF (PM)
In the case of fire, fuel leak, or at TPC discretion - PROP levers - FEATHER (PM)
- Firewall valves - CLOSED
- Engine fire extinguisher - As required (PM)
- AUX BATT Switch - OFF
- Gangbar - off
Aborted Takeoff
- POWER levers - IDLE/REVERSE as required
- Brakes - As required
Prior to departing the prepared surface - CONDITION levers - FUEL CUTOFF (PM)
- PROP Levers - FEATHER (PM)
After aircraft stops: - Firewall valves - CLOSED
- Engine Fire extinguisher - As required (PM)
- AUX BATT switch - OFF
- Gangbar - Off
Engine Fire
- Confirm Fire
If fire exists: - Emergency Shutdown Checklist - perform
Explosive decompression
- Oxygen Masks - Don/Deploy (crew 100%) (Both/TA) (If above 10,000’)
- Descend - as required
Engine Failure after Takeoff
- Power - Maximum allowable
- Gear - UP
- Airspeed - Accelerate to Vxse or Vyse
- +Propeller (inoperative engine) - Confirm auto feather or FEATHER (PM)
- Flaps - UP
- Emergency Shutdown Checklist - Perform
Emergency Shutdown Checklist
+1. Condition lever - FUEL CUTOFF (PM)
+2. PROP Lever - FEATHER (PM)
+3. Firewall valves - CLOSED (LS)
+4. Engine fire extinguisher - As required (PM)
Primary Governor Failure/Malfunction
- PROP lever - Attempt to adjust to normal operating range
Emergency Descent
- POWER Levers - IDLE
- PROP levers - Full forward
- FLAPS - As required
- Landing Gear - as required
- Airspeed - as required
Spin Recovery
- POWER Levers - IDLE
- Ailerons - Neutralize
- Control Wheel - Rapidly move forward
- Rudder - Full deflection opposite the direction of the spin
- Rudder - neutralize once rotation has stopped
- Execute a smooth pullout
Fuselage Fire
- Oxygen masks - Don/Deploy (crew 100 percent) (Both/TA)
Fire/smoke/fumes (electrical source)
- Oxygen masks - don/deploy (crew 100%) (Both/TA)
Windshear Escape Procedure/Terrain Warning
- Autopilot - Disengage
- Power - maximum
- Wings - level
- PROP Levers - Full Forward
- Pitch - Rotate toward 15 degrees up
- Configuration - do not change
Fire/smoke/fumes (environmental source suspected)
- Oxygen masks - don/deploy (crew 100%) (Both/TA)
NAC LOW L/R
- Land as soon as possible
Single-engine Waveoff/Missed Approach
- Power - Maximum allowable
- PROP Lever - full forward
- Pitch - Establish positive rate of climb (7* to 10* up)
- Airspeed - VXse or Vyse
- Gear - Up
- Flaps - UP
Stall Recovery
- Autopilot - Disconnect
- Simultaneously:
a. Nose Attitude - adjust to break stall
b. Level wings
c. Power - Maximum allowable
d. PROP Levers - Full Forward - Flaps - APPROACH (if DOWN)
- Establish positive rate of climb
- Gear - UP
- Flaps - UP
The Emergency Shutdown Checklist should be completed at AC Cdr discretion, or when:
CHIP DET light illuminates
Runaway Q increase in flight (not responsive to PWR lever movement)
Engine fire in flight
Oil pressure low
Leaking oil/fuel
Engine failure in flight
