BANNING THE TRADE OF RAINFOREST WOOD. As there is far to much trees being chopped down. (in B&Q there wood has a special FSC stamp on it meaning that it’s not from a rainforest )

AGRICULTURE - need to clear the land to make space to plant crops + for cattle to graze on.
Farmers make lots of money from their crops and cattle.

To build new settlements + roads - when roads in a remote area needs to be built it causes a small amount of deforestation to take place
