Another reason is that there are more career + Job oppertunities now so women put off having children until later on in life so they can get the best careers they can. This lowers birth rates as women are less fertile the older they get, so by waiting they will miss out on there most fertile window

Another reason is that there has been advances in medicine which has resulted in more children
Surviving at birth, Whereas in the early 1900 People would have more children than intended incase one didnt make it. for example, it they got a chest infection they Possibly would of died as medicine wasn’t as good as it is now
