Why is the Paschal candle important? (4 points)
1. The priest inserts five grains of incense into the candle which represent the five wounds of christ. 2. The priest traces the alpha and omega which shows Christ is eternal. 3. The Paschal candle is lit from the fire-the light of christ overcomes sin and death. 4. The priest lights a fire-the light of christ rising from the tomb.
