Informed Consent: Participants must be given comprehensive information concerning the nature and purpose of a study, their role in it and any nests of partiapation

Deception: This occurs when participants are not told the true aim of a study so they are unable to give informed cornent.

Confidentialty: A person has a right to have their personal information protected in many case studies an individual may be referred to try their intials eg KE

Privacy: A person should expect that unless they are in a public place that their behaviour is not open for observation

Protection from harm:
During research participants should not experience anything more extreme than in everyday life

Right to withdraw: At any point during the research the participant has the right to leave This also includes after the study is completed, the participant has the right to ask for the information to be excluded from the study
