(did my ends justify the means?) (is it wromg to possibly harm a few to save many?)
Define liberal individualism
individual rights
you are providing a service for people, it is the right for people to request or deny
you are obligated to provide the tx requested (comply, deny, refer)
autonomy define
can be though of as self determination
Ethics vs law
There is conflict when the patient interest is the more justifiable answer
What does the PLUS stand for in EDM plus
P- policies (consistent with company policy and procedures)
L- legalities (consistent with the law)
U- Universal (consistent with “universal values”
S- self (consistent with your view of right and wrong
define ethically impoverished, ethically agnostic, ethically nihilistic, ethically suspect
ethically impoverished- cant be bothered
ethically agnostic- do not care about the outcome
ethically nihilistic- outcome does not matter
Ethically suspect- am I the problem
