Ecology- the study of living organism and how they interact with each other.
Ecosystem- a specific area where organisms live in.

Autotroph- a producer that makes organic compounds from simple substances present in its surroundings.
Heterotroph- plants and algae, can use energy from sunlight

Herbivores- eats plants
Carnivores- eats meat
Omnivores- eats meat and plants
Law of conservation
Energy is neither created or destroyed instead it is moved from one form to another.
Importance of cycling materials in an ecosystem
Materials like nitrogen can be limiting factors in the ecosystem function.
Biosphere
The main component of the earths systems, they include the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere. It includes all living organisms on earths
Greenhouse effect
The natural process that warms the earths surface
Global warming
The gradual increase in the average temperature of the earths atmosphere
