Q

What is the Big Bang theory?

A
  1. Universe originated in one spot, where all matter and energy was condensed
  2. There was an explosive expansion
  3. The universe is continuing to expand

Q

What is evidence for the Big Bang?

A
  1. Redshift: universe is expanding and must of had an origin
  2. Abundance of Hydrogen and Helium: all other elements arose from hydrogen
  3. Cosmic Microwave Background: It’s cooled and expanded radiation from the big bang
