What is PCR used for?

A

to amplify small samples of DNA

Why do you need to use a heat-stable DNA P in PCR?

A

First step of the reaction requires temp to be between 90°C to 100°C to separate the two DNA strands.
Most enzymes are denatured at this temperature. With the use of a heat-stable polymerase, the enzyme can be added at the beginning of the reaction and will function throughout multiple cycles.
