Partial birth abortion is considered more cruel because the abortionist starts to deliver the baby and then kills it. This can happen because partial abortions happen within the second and third trimester, meaning that the baby is almost fully developed
Why do some animals have large amounts of offspring and others have low amounts of offspring (relates to survivorship patterns)?
Some animals have large amounts of offspring and others have low amounts of offspring because some offspring just don’t have very good chances of surviving. If an animal only has one offspring, there must be a good survival rate for that offspring
Why is carrying capacity important for US Fish and Wildlife to know
The resources in any given environment can support only a certain quantity of wildlife
How do you think we should handle current problem with the human population growth and preparing for the future (crops ideas, reproduction laws, etc)
I definitely don’t feel like there should be reproductive laws, but I think that if people were educated on the state of the world currently, more people might choose not to have so many kids. One of the most basic things would be to eliminate food waste. Another way would be to increase urban agriculture. A lot of urban spaces have the potential too be used for agricultural purposes, but they have not been transformed to do so
Why is predator/prey situation good for both species
Predators rely on prey as their main food source. As the prey is reduced by predators, prey does not have to fight with other prey to maintain their resources in the environment
Why are keystone species important
Keystone species maintain diversity within an environment. They are generally a critical part of the food web because they predators that provide resources to other animals and create balance within an ecosystem
