what was the freedom rides
a form of non-violent direct action taken by a politically disparate coalition of Aboriginal and non-Indigenous University students on a bus. Its purpose was to witness, publicise and challenge segregation and racial discrimination against Aboriginal people in regional towns in New South Wales.

PNG received its independence from Australia on the 16th of September, 1975. Ever since Australia has supported PNG through foreign aid.

The type of aid that Australia gave towards the climate change project was money, Australia funded GGGI so that PNG could have acces to finance to adress climate issues in the country.
