Tips about summaries:

- Examiners will count words, and nothing is awarded beyond this limit
- first natural break between 90 and 100 words is were examiners will stop marking
- No unnecessary introductions, only focused on bullet points
- number of marks corresponds to number of words that should be dedicated
- focus on correct manipulation of language, instead of changing words excessively and then making summary ambiguous

For literary text gap fill:

- writing definiton, grammatical function, gender, sing/plur is a successful strategy
- say it in English in my heads to notice what sounds right
- don’t slip up on the wrong tense but same meaning

Translations:

- carefully reread translations
- pay careful attention to verb endings, (is it he/she/ it or they)
- use WEDDING to identify subjunctive or doubt, emotion and wanting someone else to do something
- rewrite completely if it is difficult to understand/ does not sound English or spanish enough
