Hormone that increases sodium and chloride ion reabsorption and potassium secretion.
What is reabsorption in the context of renal function?
Process of moving substances from renal tubule into the peritubular capillary.
What role does the collecting duct and late distal covolted tubule play in urine formation?
ADH acts mainly at this portion of the nephron.
What is tubular secretion?
Process of moving substances from the peritubular capillary into renal tubule.
What is filtration?
Process occurring across wall of glomerular capillary and visceral layer of glomerular capsule.
What does micturition refer to?
The act of voiding (emptying) the urinary bladder.
What is ADH?
Antidiuretic hormone that increases water reabsorption in the late distal convoluted tubule and collecting duct.
