- grind chalk to powder so all reacts
- rinse beaked to ensure no acid left
- more acid so larger titres
- heat to speed up reaction

How to make standard solution
A
- weigh set mass
- dissolve in approx 150 of deionised water in beaker
- transfer to volumetric flask using funnel
- rinse beaker and funnel w deionised and pour into flask
- add deionised up to 250 mark
- 20 inversions

A
- pour x into beaker and add y and allow ppt to settle
- add more y until no further ppt forms
- filter ppt
- wash and dry ppt
- heat to constant mass

- pipette to measure seawater into volumetric flask
- add 50cm3 seawater to 250cm3 volumetric flash
- make up to mark
