What is Mercantilism?
A trade system that European countries used as a way to gain wealth

How did Mercantilism work?
The mother country would ship expensive manufactured products to the colonies (i.e. glass, paper, and tea) and in turn, the colonies have to ship raw materials back to the mother country.

What was the triangular trade?
Trade between America, Africa, and Europe

How the triangular trade work?
Europe would carry materials to Africa (i.e. metal, clothing, weapons...), Africa would trade it for their people to be used as slave. The slaves would be transported to America (the middle passage) were they were sold to slave owners for cheap labor, then European merchants would purchase the cotton, sugar, and tobacco and the cycle would repeat.
