- Speak to credit controller - if they have any further information
- Speak to the tenant
- Read the lease for a guarantor or rent deposit
- Inspect the property to understand if they’re still in occupation and to understand the situation better
- If the tenant is still refusing to pay rent then issue a statutory demand to pay the rent within 21 days
- Can action CRAR
- Check the lease for the forfeiture clause
- Obtain a court judgement to obtain the rent arreras
- Serve a section 17 notice on the AGA - within 6 months of the rent arrears
