Q

Inner layer

A
  1. Directed towards cup concavity
  2. Much thickened to fork retina nervous layer (pars optics retinae) which gives rise to:
    - rods and cones
    - bipolar cells
    - ganglionic cells

Q

Outer layer

A
  1. Directed away from cup concavity
  2. Remains single cell thick
  3. Becomes pigmented and forms retina pigmented layer
