Q

Break Turn Stall/Recovery

A
  1. Pre-stall and aerobatic checklist
  2. 300 KIAS roll 70 - 80* AOB, idle, boards
  3. Apply back stick pressure until 17 AOA
  4. @220KIAS pull back pressure until stall occurs
  5. Should occur within 180* of turn

Recovery:

  1. Break stall, boards in MRT

Q

Power Off Stall Recovery

A

Simulate a stall as you stretch out a glide profile

  1. Pre-stall aerobatic checklist
  2. Reduce power IDLE, slow 180 KIAS, retract SB at 180
  3. Maintain 180 kias wings level descent
  4. Slowly increase back stick to level off until stall

Recover

  1. Break stall, allow airspeed to increase to 180 KIAS idle descent

Landing Attitude Manuever

A
  1. Pre-stall aerobatic checklist
  2. Dirty up, slow on speed, landing checklist
  3. Maintain wings level, reduce power to idle, maintain altitude, until rudder shakers

Recovery

  1. MRT, SB in, Maintain nose attitude

  3. Roll 70 - 80* AOB
  4. Apply backstick pressure through onset of buffet and into stall
    1. Should stall within the first 90*s of turn
    2. Stall characteristics include: wing drop off, pitch oscillations, or control stick’s reaching the full aft position

Recover

  1. Simultaneously release back stick pressure, advance power MRT, roll wings level
