Hung Start Indications

A
  • Rpm Stabilizes below 52% (fails to accelerate from 45% to IDLE)
  • EGT continues to rise toward starting limit of 550*C

Hot Start Indications

A
  • EGT exceeds 550*C (for 20 seconds)
  • Rapid rate of rising EGT
  • Possible excessive fuel flow

Wet Start Indications

A
  • Engine fails to light off within 15 seconds of moving throttle to idle
  • Plane captain signals wet start (points to engine with plugged nose)
