What are buffer zones?
When a computer is used to model the efficiency of lean manufacturing and where cell production etc would go unfertilised zones are areas in which it may take longer for a process on the production line to be complete and so they are temporary storage area where partially completed work is stored to allow the slower tasks to become completed

It can help with identifying prices for and split direct costs for a product in manufacturing
Computer modelling can also calculate the costs of production for specific products under injection moulding as well
What can computer modelling do in a kitchen e.g.?
It can test for the ergonomics of the kitchen it can show i the kitchen appliances are efficient in the spacing presented to the programme and can be used to show potential clients what their kitchen may look like and help allow the client to make decisions before the making of it
What is on alternative to using computer modelling?
Testing with a prototype physically which can be used with the client can become another alternative option something that will soon go into procuring for example
And still allows the designers to get feedback on their design before production
