Palpate:
Iliac crest
ASIS to PSIS.
Strumming up and down.
Expect a dip down when you get to the back to get to the PSIS.
Palpate:
Iliac tubercle
Widest/thickest part of iliac crest.
Just anterior at side seam
Flares out.
Palpate:
ASIS
Anterior superior iliac spine.
Palpate:
AIIS
Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine
Approx. 1 inch down from ASIS
Palpate:
Pubis
Start at umbilicus. Use heel of hand to move down until you hit bone. Replace thumbs with bone.
Palpate:
Pubic tubercle
Move lateral from pubis
Palpate:
Inguinal ligament
From ASIS to pubic tubercle
Palpate:
Superior pubic ramus

Palpate:
PSIS
Posterior Inferior Iliac Spine.
Where iliac crest comes downwards. Some have nodule or dimples.
Palpate:
SI joint
Have athlete lie prone. Find area where iliac crest comes down and meets sacrum. Hook your fingers underneath this with 1 hand while IR the hip passively with the other hand. You should feel movement under your fingers.
Palpate:
Sacral sulcus
Up and in from PSIS.
Feel divot.
Palpate:
Inferior lateral angle of the sacrum.
Can feel down sacrum and move laterally until you find a edge. Feel lateral to medial for a corner in the bone.
Palpate:
Ischial tuberosity
Thumbs pointing in, feeling with thumbs only. Medial side of gluteal fold. Follow up.
Palpate:
Ischial bursa
Over ischial tuberosity
Palpate:
Inferior pubic ramus
Supine. Use towel. Get them to form barrier. From pubic tubercle to ischial tuberosity. Find pubic tubercles, head down towards groin.
Palpate:
Sacrotuberous ligament
Find ischial tuberosity and edge of sacrum. Go from tuberosity towards edge of sacrum. Palpate through glute max belly, strum across.
Runs from ILA to ischial tuberosity.
