Q

How many extinguishing bottles are installed in the cargo compartments?

A

2 bottles used for both compartments

16
Q

How long will the low-rate bottle remain active in the compartment?

A

60 minutes

17
Q

Can one bottle be used for one compartment in the other bottle for the other compartment?

A

No. Only one compartment may be selected (FWD or AFT)

18
Q

What happens when a cargo extinguishing button is pushed if smoke has been detected?

A

Hi-rate bottle discharges immediately
Low-rate bottle discharges after 1 minute if the airplane is in flight
If airplane is on the ground (weight-on-wheels) the low-raid bottle will not automatically discharge

19
Q

During flight, can the low-rate bottle be discharged before the minute is up?

A

Yes by pushing the extinguishing button again

20
Q

How can the low-rate bottle be discharged if the airplane is on the ground (weight-on-wheels)?

A

The extinguishing button must be pushed again

21
Q

Can the cargo extinguishing be used if no smoke is detected?

A

Yes. The high-rate bottle extinguishing button must be pushed twice, once to arm the bottle and wants to discharge the bottle.
Low-rate bottle automatically discharges after 1 minute, if in flight

22
Q

Are the lavs protected from fire?
