Define quantitative data
Deals with quantities ( number of scores ). These are facts
Define Qualitative data
Deals with opinions ( feelings or emotions) these are subjective
What does the acronym TEST stand for
T= training program
E= evaluate
S= set goals/targets
T= tedium
What is the test for co-ordination
Alternate hand wall toss test
3 steps of the alternate hand wall toss test
- Stand 2m away from a smooth wall
- Throw ball with 1 hand and catch with the other and repeat
- Non-participant counts number of successful catches in 30s
What is the test for flexibility
Sit and reach test

- Remove shoes and Position sit ans reach box against wall
- Keep knees locked and reach forward with 1 hand on top of other
- Stretch and hold position for 2 secs and reach maximum length on box whilst someone reads score
What is the test for strength
Hand grip dynamometer
3 steps of the hand grip dynamometer
- Grip with dominant hand
- Apply maximum force while arm is straight in front of body
- Repeat 3 times while someone records highest reading
What is the test for muscular endurance
60 sec push up / sit up
3 steps for the 60 sec push up / sit up test
- Non participant starts timer for 60 secs
- Do as many as u can
- Non participant counts number of reps

- Mark out 2 lines 20m apart
- Participants must arrive at end line on beep or before and wait for beep beofre running back
- Participants must run until total exhaustion prevents completion of 2-3 shuttles

3 steps of 30 m sprint test
- Mark out a 30m distance on an even m firm suface
- Participants takes a rolling start so they are running at full speed as they hit the start line
- Timer starts once start line is reached and is ended once participant reaches finish line. Use 2 timers for maximum accuracy
3 steps to Illinois agility test
- Mark out course to exact measurements ( 5m width, 10m length,4 cones in midle 3.3m apart)
- Participant starts in a face down ling position at the start line, head facing the start line
- Use 2 timers for accuracy
4 steps to ruler drop test
- Hold a 30cm ruler above the open hand of participant
- The 0cm mark must be directly between the thumb and index finger
- Non participant drops ruker with no warming and participant catchez
- Score is taken from where top of the thumb hits ruler after 3 tests provides an average
3 steps for Standing stork test
- Participant places their hand on hips and 1 foot on inside knee of opposite leg
- Participant raises their heel and holds the balance for as long as possible
- The score is taken as the total time participant held the balance successfully
3 steps to vertical jump test
- Participant stands sideways onto wall and measures height with an up stretched arm
- Participant jumps as high as possible and parks wall at peak of the jump
- This is repeated 3 times and the average distance between standing and jumping height is taken as score
