If Transfer Fail light illuminates what does that mean?
Aux bus failed to transfer to EDC on auto transfer
What charges the backup battery?
EDC2
When does the back up battery power the standby gyro?
Less then 19v on EDC1
How long does the backup battery power the standby gyro
30 min
How do you know that the back up battery is power the standby gyro
On light will illuminate on the back up battery panel
What is the total time of standby gyro while on backup battery?
39 min total - 9 mins due to gyro winding down
If you loose only the 26v on inverter 1 does inverter 2 pick up the load?
No because auto transfer only happens if 115v fails
What is required power from GPU for engine start without APU?
24v 1600 amp min 1800 amp preferred
Where do you look to find GPU power?
On the GPU, aircraft can only read volts from central bus not GPU Amps
How do you know GPU is available?
Light will illuminate “GPU Aval”
What is priority of power? (Main gen, APU, or GPU)
Main Gen, GPU, APU
What position on Voltmeter do we not leave the selector and why?
Battery because it’s on the hot battery bus and could drain the battery
Can we charge the battery from GPU? And why?
No, because switch only lets us pick battery or external power
HOW DO YOU CHECK LEFT AUX GENERATOR ONLY ON ELECTRIC PANEL?
POWER > 70% NP TURN RT AUX
GEN ON AND READ AUX GEN SIDE. BOTH AUX GENS ARE ON SAME GAGE BECAUSE IT READS AUX BUS.
EXPLAIN SOFT TRANSFER.
ENGINES SHUTOFF (2 MAIN AND 2 AUX GENS OFF), APU ON, PWR SELECTOR ON BATT & AT LEAST ONE MAIN GENS SWITCH ON. APU POWERS CTR BUS, A/C IS In SOFTXFER DUE TO GEN SWITCH ON, BATT IS DRAINED BY EDC'S DUE AUX ARE OFF.
What does the power off light mean on the map?
Lost one of the 2 power sources on map EDC 1 or 2
How do you know which EDC failed?
Torque and T6 gages left edc1 right edc2
If both EDC fail what does the map show?
Nothing
How many aural channels does the aircraft have?
