Q

When does “flyaway” get used and what does it mean?

A

Is stated by the FP on departure during the transition from the hover to ETL flight where should the aircraft become OEI a hover cannot be reentered

Basically: if we lose an engine from this point the aircraft cannot hover
Can be determined, if each engine is producing 64% TQ in the hover (OGE or IGE) then an OEI hover is not possible
