Which ever FD or AP is on, that FMGC becomes master, unless both sides are on, then FMGC 1is master. The A/THR is driven by the MSTR FMGC. If both FD are on, then each FMGC drives it’s onside FD and FMA on that respective PFD.

And the “FM1or FM2” annunciator on the ONSIDE [MCDU] illuminates.
After the FM source selector is set, and “OFFSIDE FM CONTROL” annunciation is displayed on the onside ND…
The FMA’s display: FMGC 1failure (2FD2) or FMGC 2 failure(1FD1) indicating that the FD bars are driven by the same FMGC.
The STATUS page will show:
{ AP1or2} {FM1or2} Inop
and CAT 3DUAL Inop. in amber
And in green
CAT 3 {SINGLE ONLY} and FM SWTG is displayed on the ECAM
