Serratus ventralis
O:
1) (Cervical part) transverse processes of the last 5 cervical vertebrae
2) (Thoracic part) 1st 7 or 8 ribs ventral to midline
I: dorsomedial 1/3 of scapula
A: Supports trunk and depresses scapula
Rhomboid
O:
1) Nuchal crest of occipital bone
2) Median raphe
3) Spinous process of 1st 7 thoracic vertebrae
I: Dorsal border of scapula
A: Elevates FL and draws scapula to chest
Deep pectoral
O: ventral sternum and xyphoid
I: greater and lesser tubercles of humerus and humeral crest
A: adducts FL and retracts shoulder
Superficial pectoral
O: 1st 2 or 3 sternebrae and ventral median raphe
I: crest of greater tubercle
A: ADducts when not WB and prevents ABduction when WB
Omotransversarius
O: Acromion process of scapula
I: wing of the atlas
A: laterally flexes neck and aids with drawing the FL and scapula forward
Trapezius
O:
1) median raphe of neck
2) supraspinous ligament T3-9
I: spine of scapula
A: Elevates and ABducts the FL
Latissimus dorsi
O: TL fascia from spinous processes of lumbar and last 7/8 thoracic vertebrae and muscular attachement to last 2/3 ribs
I: proximomedial humerus with teres major tendon
A: prime shoulder flexor and draws FL caudally (digging)
Brachiocephalicus
O: clavicular tendon
I:
1) Cleidocephalicus Pars cervicalus PC- cranial 1/2 of dorsal median raphe
2) Cleidocephalicus Pars mastoidea PM- mastoid part of temporal bone
3) Cleidobrachialis- distal end of Anterior border of humerus
A: Advance the FL, Extend shoulder and draw head and neck laterally
