A

No, in order for the Rabies-Free Vaccination Certificate to be valid, dogs and cats must travel directly from the exporting country to Canada. Transshipment through a third country invalidates the certificate as the animal is no longer considered to be originating from a rabies-free country.

A

Birds imported from countries other than the US are considered much higher risk and depends whether the country is considered free of highly pathogenic avian influenza. Always check AIRS and CITES for current import requirements

A

There is a limit of 20kg and the pet food must be of US origin and be commercially prepared and processed. It must be in original packaging with the label clearly indicating the list of ingredients.
The pet food and the animal that will eat it must be in the possession of the traveller at the time of entry from the US
