What is a CTOT?

A

Calculated take of time. The flight may take off 5 minutes before to 10 minutes after CTOT time. If slot is missed, ring FLOW for an extension.

What is the EOBT?

A

Estimated of blocks time. Flight may depart 30 minutes either side of this time. If it misses after one hour, call up to understand the reason for delay.

When would you need to call FLIGHT PLANS?

A

FLIGHT PLANS need to be called if the control wants to check if a flight has any DLA going into a GS airport.

“Oxford Tower, is there any DLA going into (airport) for (callsign).”

What steps should be taken when a flight cancels?

A
  1. Take off of strip board
  2. Delete from FDMS
  3. Tell RAD ATSA
  4. Take off of slot sheet

If a student calls requesting to cancel slot, what should you do?

A

Remove strips for that flight but leave slot on the slot sheet as the training school may use it to book out another plane.

A

An ARR/DEP message is needed if flight is VFR with a flight plan (speed).
