Guigal La Turque soils & important stats

A

granite, silicone, limestone, schist and iron rich clay

  • First vintage: 1985
  • 93% Syrah, 7% Viognier (planted)
  • ~42 months in 100% new French oak
  • Stylistically between the other two “La La” wines:
  • Bigger, darker, denser and more tannic than Mouline.
  • Lacks the power, structure, weight and tannin of Landonne
  • 400 cases a year
