Q

Once you get your certificate what are some career paths you can follow and what are the kinds of jobs you will qualify for after completing the program?

A

An INTERNSHIP is a great way to start your career. It’s usually a short term job with limited responsibilities. Work closely with a supervisor to learn more about a job or industry you are interested in, and bet job experience with the possibility of a full-time job.
APRECENTICESHIPS: They generally last longer than internships, around 1-2 years instead of a few months and are always paid.
FREELANCING: Work for themselves.

Q

Why is persistence important? How do you get over the impostor syndrome? What do you do if you run up on something you have not dealt with before, that makes you feel uncomfortable, like you’re not the most informed person in the room?

A

Persistence is a lot of it. Be open to asking a lot of questions to others and look for other inputs and resources. You can’t do and solve everything by yourself. Knowing when you’re stuck and maybe why you’re stuck and thinking of CREATIVE ways to get UNSTUCK helps with impostor syndrome. When I come upon something I have not dealt with before and makes me uncomfortable, I LISTEN OR ASK QUESTIONS and try to find OTHER RESOURCES to become more informed.
