What is coal
A fossil fuel made from the remains of plants.
What is electricity
A way of transferring energy through wires.
What is a fossil
The remains of a dead animal or plant that become trapped layers of sediment and turned into rocks.
What is fuel
A substance that contains a store of chemical or nuclear energy that can easily be transferred.
What is a fuel cell
A machine that combines hydrogen and oxygen gases to produce electricity.
What does generate mean
Produce electricity.
What is hydrogen
A gas that burns.
What is natural gas
Fossil fuel formed the remains of microscopic dead plants and animals that lived in the sea.
What does non-renewable mean
Any energy recource that will run outbecause we cannot renew our supplies if it(e.g. oil).
What is nuclear fuel
Radioactive metals such as uranium. Nuclear fuels are used in nuclear power stations to generate electricity.
What is Oil
Fossil Fuel formed from the remains of microscopic dead plants and animals that lived in the sea.
What does renewable mean
An energy recourse that will never run out (e.g. solar power).
What is uranium
A radioactive metal that can be use as a nuclear fuel.
