What is fund development planning?

A

A Systematic process of setting measurable goals in relations to needs, researching relevant data, comparing options, minimizing risks, balancing resources, taking appropriate action and evaluating results so you can make changes for the next plan.

The amount you can raise is not determined by the amount you need to spend!

NEED TO:
Break big vision and mission into specific projects
Document the methods you will use
List the skills needed to implement the work
Budget the costs, ideally over a 3 to 5 year period
Set up a system to evaluate whether your efforts are achieving the outcomes you want

What is sustainable fundraising

A

Keep doing what you need to do over many years without using up more resources.

Measure success in gross or net dollars raised in mind, year and measure ongoing relationships you nurture with donors over a lifetime.
