17
Q

What is the purpose of WSOMS net merge?

A

To provide satellite payload control through a remote transmission site

18
Q

Headquarters and detachments execute orders from who?

A

CSSEO in support of WGS and DSCS spacecraft

19
Q

What is an RSSC and what do they do?

A

a Theater operational element responsible for satellite communications network planning, engineering, and authorization of warfighter support. The RSSC is the determiner of user communication link supportability for in-theater operations based on user Satellite Access Requests (SAR). The RSSC is responsible for payload management for all SATCOM systems to all combatant commands, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, DoD and non-DoD agencies, departments, and coalition or international partners. It is also responsible for managing payload aging parameter updates.

20
Q

What is the responsibility of CWO?

A

The Wideband Consolidated Watch Officer (CWO) manages and allocates SATCOM resources in support of real-world missions, new technology implementation, and vital training programs.

CWO reviews and validates Satellite Access Authorizations (SAA) for release to DoD, international partners, and other Government agency Users.

CWO coordinates with RSSC and utilizes planning software and spreadsheets to verify Common Network Planning Software (CNPS) plan accuracy and supportability analysis prior to CNPS plan uploads to the spacecraft.

CWO, or the WBWO may direct the WPC to generate a User plan using the GSCCE Payload Configuration Editor (PCE).

CWO verifies User plans for accuracy and supportability prior to upload.

21
Q

What does the CSSE and SSE do?

A

The Combined SATCOM Support Expert Office Wideband Consolidated SATCOM System Expert (C-SSE) and SATCOM System Experts (SSE) will have detailed knowledge of their assigned systems & spectrum to provide technical, operational, and engineering support to the United States Space Force, Combined Force Space Component Command (CFSCC) Space Operations Center (SpOC), and the SATCOM Communications Operating Instructions (COI).

The C-SSE and SSEs execute orders from CFSCC SpOC in support of WGS and DSCS Spacecraft. The Primary Tasks of the SSE are to advocate user requirements; operationally advise Program Managers (PM); develop policy & procedures; assist transition planning; approve terminal certifications; insure integrated Concept of Operations (CONOPS); Global System Analyst (SA) & Payload (P/L) management; and Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) management.

There is a SSE for every SATCOM spectrum and system.
