What does the CE sign mean?
The appliance is manufactured to an approved European standard, it creates standards for design, manufacture and safety.
What types of pipe can be used for gas installations?
Stainless steel, Copper, Ductile Iron, Aluminum, PVC, CSST (corrugated stainless steel)
Where can a gas pipe not be installed?
Under foundations, Cavity walls, Service ducts, Under footings of a load baring wall
What is a cert 1 used for?
Brand new installations requiring a new gas meter
What is a cert 2 used for?
Boiler replacement where a meter is already there
What is a cert 3 used for?
Replacing appliance (not boiler), Service or any repair
What does part L of the building regs cover?
Conservation of fuel and energy
What does part J of the building regs cover?
Heat producing appliances
