double standards
applying one set of moral standards to one group and different to another eg boys boast about their sexual activities and get praised and if a girl does the same she’s called a slag this reinforced hegemonic masculinity

archer found WC gained symbolic capital status and popularity performing hyper heterosexual feminine identity e.g dressing sexy if they do not conform they are called tramps further more if they are too competitive in terms of boys they are slut shamed as shaming is used as a tool to conform
